Dr. Young strives to provide compassionate and empowering healthcare to optimize function and prevent dis-ease.

Michelle Young is a licensed naturopathic physician and a Chinese medicine practitioner. She attended the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon and joined the Holistic Health Clinic in 2015. She believes in the value of a patient-centered, integrated healthcare facility, and she feels blessed to work with such an amazing team at HHC.

Dr. Young works with her clients to identify obstacles that prevent optimal health. With the guidance of various assessment tools and utilization of many therapeutic modalities, she creates individualized treatment plans that are sustainable and sensible.

Naturopathic physicians are the original functional medicine practitioners. For many years her colleagues have been promoting the importance of preventing chronic disease and addressing dysfunction with healthy habits. In her experience, there are many recurring themes of pathology in the modern world, and therefore Dr. Young focuses her clinical practice on digestive and metabolic health, hormone regulation, musculoskeletal function, mindfulness practices and mental wellness.

Dr. Young subscribes to philosophies derived from the wisdom of ancient healing traditions, in addition to the innovations of modern science. Her treatment modalities include Chinese medicine therapies (like acupuncture, cupping, moxa and herbal medicine), nutritional and dietary optimization, Western botanical medicine, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, regenerative therapies like prolotherapy, and where appropriate, conventional pharmaceutical therapy.

When not at Holistic Health Clinic, you can find Michelle with her husband Mike and their dog Jonah, playing outside, enjoying the fresh air and looking for a sunny spot to relax.
