William Wooten, LMT
Billy moved to Portland here for his family in 2005, and immediately fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. Billy first began to take an interest in massage therapy in high school, when he saw the benefits in pain relief that his classmates experienced. After completing college, he was fully convinced of his newfound passion for assisting others live more pain-free lives. With his extensive background in construction, Billy learned to integrate that knowledge into his massage career by addressing the injuries related to rigorous manual labor. He considers massage body-work not as an alternative medicine, but as an original one.
His specialties include but are not limited to plantar fasciitis & carpal tunnel treatments, neck and shoulder pain management, prenatal massage, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. Billy’s pressure ranges from Swedish relaxation to deep tissue/ firm pressure.
In his spare time, Billy can be found in a yoga studio, practicing his secondary passion for Shao-lin Kung Fu martial arts, hiking the beautiful mountains of the PNW, climbing or dancing. We are privileged to have such a diverse member added to our working family!
